Mucha: The Moon and the Stars: The Moon
Here is my rendition of Mucha's The Moon and the Stars. The poster in the middle was produced in 1902.
In this collage piece I have used melted scented wax that has been impressed with various stamps. These have then been adhered by modelling paste onto the board. The middle has a light dusting of glitter with black sand, and some of the melted wax also has added glitter and black sand.
I have used Prima Marketing's Bindery paper and Graphic 45 Kraft to add the ephemera look, and the final touch is dry painting a wood glaze over the modelling paste and parts of the collage.

The Old Curiosity Shop
And here we have Graphic 45s new Old Curiosity Shop papers. I have added various embellishments to kind of turn this shadow box into a curiosity shop. Little bottles, gears, jade tokens, coins, sea glass, lots of metal bugs, beetles, butterflies, dragon flies, ... the wonder of actually owning such a shop.

Mini toy theatre - Theatre Guignol
These are preprinted sheets by Alpha Stamps. I adore toy theatre, and I think I like it so much because of its tiny factor. So this one is as small as my hand.

Artist Trading Tag Holder Album
I've now made a tag holder album for my Artist Trading Tags, so they have a nice home just before Christmas.
Here are some views of my ATT Tag Holder Album.
This album has been made using Mamelok Relief Die cuts and a mix of varnish with paste for that glossy look.

Victorian Era ATTs (Artist Trading Tags)
I have been inspired by this month's Somerset Studio Gallery magazine (Winter 2012) which featured on page 154 Paper Doll Tags.
I really liked the look of these and went through all my paper dolls, but alas none fitted onto my shipping tags I had.
So it was into my Victoriana pieces and there I found what I was looking for! A collection of scraps (relief die cuts from England and Germany).
I had old shipping tags which were then spritzed with a range of Glimmer Mists. Once these tags had dried I teemed them up with what Victorian people I would use. Then I sorted out some tissue and torn this, modge podged it on; sorted out some words, added those to the piece, then overlaid the Victoriana images on top. Other embellishments added were either birds or butterflies, taking special note of ensuring that they were not competing with the faces; then I added a few metal embellishments; a few diamante rubons; stamp inked the edges in black. Waited for it to dry, then sorted colour co-ordinating yarn and attached to the tag. Viola! Here is my collection.

Vanitas Ode to Hallow The Eve
I'm not one for celebrating Halloween, but hey if you want all things skeletal, then here's a shadow box with a surprising collection of artifacts resembling those objects used in vanitas paintings.
Check out the detail!
Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" so says the Bible, but Luther bluntly states "teach us so to reflect on death that we may be wise.:
