I've really only scrapbooked pages of my daughter's as they have gradually got older and then the occasional family get together.
But this time it was my turn to scrapbook some of those photos of me taken between October 2009 to May 2010.

On the Carousel
I know I haven't blogged for ages, so here we go not much but it's a photo of my youngest on a carousel at the fairground. Not the best of photos, although the over exposure can almost work aesthetically.
I have used a lot of Prima Flowers and made it quite girly, as this kid is very girly.

I never Imagined ...
This was a scrapbook album that I was going to enter into the Basic Grey competition from the USA, but unfortunately it was not open to us (as in international).
The brief for the competition was entitled "I never imagined...."
So I thought of all the things I never imagined of myself say as a little girl; had no inkling I would ever even want to do the stuff I did. I did, however, used to play pretend haberdashery shops in a huge make believe city I had called Little Town with my brother (he would own other shops). That was the closest to matching craft and art store I had for eight years.
As for my overseas excursions, they were always bizarre and I think I was too young to really know the 'at risk' situations I would put myself through. But thanks to God's angels I survived.
So here are the pics.
Front cover:
The back cover.
PS: Photos of me were my niece's experimentation with sepia shots and styling.
More from this books can be found here: paulastenberg.blogspot.com/2008/11/paper-engineered-scrapbook-pages_17.html

Clowns just Clowning Around
Just got a thing for clowns at the moment ... a passing phase ... cause the joke is not on me! Ha.
They are happy to keep me entertained, plus free admittance (what a bonus). If I'm lucky they will sing for me and perform, even throw me the ball. Then it's whether I catch it or not. Darn thing I usually drop. Dream on.
Oh the circus token has got resin on top of it giving it that nice glossy look.

Fashion Disasters
These pictures say it all .... my fashion disasters of semi-Goth and scruffy hippy ... only experimentation in looks, not lifestyle folks, so stay tuned. It's what we do in our early twenties right? Just say participate, don't assimilate.
I'm by a river and I'm going to take a swim, hence bikini pants on underneath (I feel I need to explain myself on that account). Marie was practising her photography and I somehow became the 'willing' victim. Yay fashion victim. And all that hair, yikes it just would not know when to stop growing.

Miracles Exist
Came across this layout that Anna had done for me a couple of years ago, which I had not yet filed into my scrapbook album.
The caption is Miracles Exist, as it was the delivery of my first child. She had the same blood as me, but unfortunately my husband's blood wasn't compatible with mine or hers, something to do with the rhesus factor. So I now have this antibody in my body for life waiting to destroy any future invasion of my husband's positive red cells. Sounds weird our bodies can react that way.
But thanks to injections everything becomes safe. So had two miracle babies. Hallelujah.

Maison Paris
Okay, I've had chance to finish my next LO, this time it opens up and keeps opening up, to finally reveal the Eiffel Tower.
This one is made with a bit extra card, so it isn't as pliable, I'll use thinner card/paper if I do it next time.
The tower looks like its wearing a skirt!!! (That wasn't anticipated either).
Again I've used vintage postcards and a vintage print of a photo. Here are the original cutouts to give you an idea of how I constructed this.

Paper Engineered Scrapbook Pages: Affection
These paper engineered pop up pages are made with Basic Grey's Sublime Collection (vellum from K & Co). Then vellum in the inside is by Autumn Leaves. The hearts are nested onto acetate paper, to appear as if they are floating in the air.
No photo has yet been put out the sheet, this is to give you an idea of the techniques (plus I have to find a suitable photo!)
Here the page is closed, tied with trim and soldered ephemera paper jewellery.

Disney Scenes
I went to Disney with my family back in 2003, so this is how behind I am in my scrapbooking! I have only just got that page completed! (And all I had to do was add photos, as Tatjana had done this one for me). I have just recently returned from Anaheim this year, so it was a bit of a prod in the .... to get things done.
We've used DMC Once Upon a Time Fairy Tale series of glittered papers, and yes, we still have these in our stores (www.scrapbookersdelight.co.nz).

Then the door opens.

Enjoy the fantasy world of Disneyland (I LOVE it!). Heck, these photos take me back, trapsing four kids around the place, as you can see the youngest is pretty tired.

More Baby layouts of Emma - my step daughter
This page layout has a little pull out tag at the bottom of the heart.

Experimenting using The Crafters Workshop stencils, and then spraying with the glimmer mist. It worked well on the single sheet, but when I tried it with photos already on the page, the millimetres in height caused some of the mist to go underneath the stencil. So do watch out for that.

Page Layouts of Emma

I have been experimenting using Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist. What fun I have had today. I have used Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper here, and then sprayed parts of it with Glimmer Mist in Key Lime, Sea Glass and Cherub Pink. It gives a beautiful irridescent look, which the picture doesn't quite show.
Here is a close up view, so you can try and appreciate the irridescent spray.
