Of Swallow, Nests and Of Homes, Gates and Gems

Again the selection of this paper combined with additional oddments have created a vision depicting about important milestones for my future.

All imagery is aligned to biblical referencing.

Of a Chair, books, candle, clock and crown and Of Chandeliers and Butterflies

Another art journalled vision depicting objects representing an interpretation of items reflecting future direction for myself.

Currently I am studying theology at university.

These pages are selected with care about what was dear to my heart, or at least what was resonating with me with a view to having a prophetic vision.

Eyes are the Windows to our Soul

This page is an art journalled vision combining images and their appropriate interpretation to symbolism.

Art Journalled Vision

Marie has been gifted with visionary prophecies, and in turn I have been gifted with their interpretation and meaning thereof.

Because these visions are full of metaphoric images what better way to publish it than through an art journalled page.

And here it is:

Photo Vanities

I've really only scrapbooked pages of my daughter's as they have gradually got older and then the occasional family get together.

But this time it was my turn to scrapbook some of those photos of me taken between October 2009 to May 2010.

Vanities

Here it is again, vanitas and done as a scrapbook page (oh wow). Plus another sort of poster type vanitas.

My posts are not meant to be this macabre, but these are just depicting the vanities of life.

Tatiana Tavares Artist

I have been totally memsmerised by the works of artist Tatiana Tavares, a young Brazilian woman living in New Zealand. Go and check out her solo exhibition at the Satellite Gallery in Newton Road, Auckland. If you like theatrical and carnival then this is the place to be.

She has a number of prints on the wall as well as her concertina graphic novel book which is about her experiences as a new immigrant to this country.

It is called Carnival Land and is a graphic novel which she has done as part of her Masters of Arts and Design from AUT.

Just take a look at her exquisite work and enjoy.

Paper Doll House

A little wee friend of mine has made this doll's house complete from an old cardboard box. It somewhat took on the shape of a church, but it's a gigantic walk in doll's clothes wardrobe and the other half of it, is some old fashioned scene at the dining room table.

I basted the house with shellac.
Unfortunately these photos were taken in the mid afternoon sun!
